As SDCI transitions to a new permitting system, we are converting existing Project Portal accounts to Seattle Services Portal accounts. We will send users an email with a link to activate their new account and a temporary password. The first time you log on, you will be prompted to set a new password.
You will be able to see all your existing projects. All projects, permits, and code enforcement projects will be called “records,” and will be assigned record numbers. The numbers for your existing projects will not change. However, we are adding a new suffix onto the end of the number to indicates the type of project. For example, 6001234-CN will be a construction project number.
Here is a list of the new suffix types:
|Billboard & Sign/Awning Permit||SB|
|Blanket Tenant Improvement Permit||BK|
|Boiler/Pressure Vessel Permit||BP|
|Curb Cut Permit||CC|
|Exemptions & Exceptions||EX|
|Fire Sprinkler Permit||FS|
|Land Use/Master Use Permit||LU|
|Side Sewer Permit||SS|
|Single-Family Furnace Permit||FR|
The only exception to this naming convention is the Preliminary Application. These applications will use a new numbering sequence that includes the year the application was created. Construction and MUP projects will be separate numbers, linked to the preliminary application.
If your project application was not accepted before we launched the new system, it is possible the number was converted to a pre-application record type. We’ll assign a new record number before or when we accept the application.
Phased permits will be tracked under the parent permit number.
Shop Drawings, Revisions, and renewals to existing permits initiated in the old system will be tracked under the number of the parent permit, with a modifier at the end identifying it as an amendment. For example, a revision to record number 6583204-CN will show in a search as 6583204-CN-001, indicating it is the first amendment to the parent permit. You can find amendment records under My Records, by looking under the Related Records tab on the parent record, or by searching under the address of the project.
We will assign new license numbers and customer number for use in the new system.
