After registering for a Portal account, you need to verify your identity and then claim your records before you will be able to view and make changes to your existing records. This process is a security measure to ensure your records are only available to authorized individuals.
- Register for a Portal account by following these instructions: How to Create a New Account
- After you have created your Seattle Services Portal account, Login to begin the verification process.
- In the + Create New section, click on Licenses – Taxi & For-Hire
- Under First Time Users, click Provide Identification Information to complete Step 1, then click Continue.
- Under Applicant, verify that the contact information displayed is correct. If the information matches your name and contact information, then click Continue. If the applicant information does not match, please edit your contact information under Account Management. If you are having difficulty correcting your contact information, please call Customer Service at 206-386-1267.
- Under Identification Information, enter your ID information exactly as it appears on your ID, then click Continue.
- Review your information and check the box confirming it is correct, then click Continue.
- You should see confirmation we received your information, including your record number for the Identity Verification. Under the record number, click the Application Start page link in the Next Step section.
- Under Step 2: Claim, click Claim Your License Record(s), then click Continue.
- Under Applicant, your contact information will automatically populate, then click Continue.
- A list of records associated to your Contact, if any, will appear. Review the list of records, and if you believe any are missing or it indicates that there are no records to claim, please contact Customer Service at 206-263-1982. If you are new to for-hire transportation, there may not be any records showing. Click Continue.
- Review the record details at the Review Page, check the certification box at the bottom of the page, click Continue and you should see a message that the process is complete.
- Click Home in the upper-left of the page to create new records or click My Records to review and make changes to your Records.
