How to Find a Trade License

Find a License by Name 

1. Go to the Seattle Services Portal
2. Under Find Existing, choose License: Trade & Equipment from the dropdown under “Narrow your search by category”
   
3. Click the dropdown arrow next to Search by Record or Address and select Search by Contact
   
   
4. Type in the first and last name or business name
5. Click Search
6. Find the correct license and click on the hyperlinked Name for more details

Find a License By Type and Record Number

1. Go to the Seattle Services Portal
2. Under Find Existing, choose License: Trade & Equipment from the dropdown under “Narrow your search by category”
   

3. In the drop down select Search by Record or Address

4. Enter the record number in the field provided
5. Select the license type from the Record Type dropdown
   

   Alert: Do not use the Address field. Your search will not return any results if you use the address field.

6. Click Search

7. Find the license in your search results and click on the hyperlinked Record Number for more detail
