There are several statuses related to a Building Tune-Up Violation Appeal record.
To check the status of your appeal, do the following:
- Log into the Seattle Services Portal, then click “My Records” tab at the top of the page to display all of your records.
- Navigate to the appeal record you submitted and click directly on the record. Tip: to find it, you may want to filter the "Record Type" drop-down for "Building Tune-Up Violation Appeal". Next to Record Status you will see one of the following statuses below.

Submitted |
The application has been submitted and is pending review. |
Corrections Required |
Additional information has been requested by staff. A response from the applicant is needed. |
In Process |
The application is under review by staff. |
Withdrawn |
The application has been withdrawn by staff at the building owner's request. |
Denied |
The application did not meet basic requirements for submittal (e.g. it is outside allowable timeframe for submission). |
Appeal Decision Reached |
A final decision has been issued. To view the results of the decision, click on the record, and navigate to “Attachments”. You can download the Admin Review Decision. A copy will also be emailed to the appellant. |
NOV Upheld |
NOV and penalty have been upheld. The full amount of the penalty is due in 15 days. |
NOV Mitigated |
NOV has been affirmed and penalty has been reduced. The reduced amount of the penalty is due in 15 days. |
NOV Reversed |
NOV and penalty have been reversed. No further action is required. |
Administrative Review decisions issued by the OSE Director are final. Payment must be remitted in 15 days. Click here for payment information and instructions on how to appeal an OSE Administrative Decision to the Hearing Examiner.
