The following Truck permits are available online through the Seattle Services Portal.
- Annual Service Zone: This is an annual permit (valid July 1 through June 30) issued to trucks or commercial vehicles for rendering maintenance service to a building and building equipment.
- Annual Truck Permit: This permit allows vehicles and loads that exceed the maximum height, weight, width, and/or length specified by state law to travel on Seattle streets for 12 months.
- Commercial Vehicle Loading Zone: This annual permit may be used by a commercially plated vehicle or truck to load/unload at Commercial Vehicle Load Zones (CVLZ). These zones have a 30-minute time limit.
- Heavy Haul Truck Network: This is an annual permit that is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and is intended for vehicles traveling along Seattle’s Heavy Haul Network.
- Short-Term Truck: This is for single-use vehicles and loads that exceed the maximum height, weight, width, and/or length specified by state law to travel on Seattle streets.
- Shuttle Bus Zone: This permit allows a shuttle bus that carries 11 or more passengers on a fixed route to use the designated Shuttle Bus Zones in the downtown core.
- Restricted Area Parking (RAP): This permit is required for trucks or commercial vehicles to occupy a specific Temporary No Parking Zone or other restricted parking areas for an approved amount of time.
- House Move: A House Move Permit is required when moving a house (yes, the entire house) from one location to another.
To submit your application online, login to the Seattle Services Portal. Go to the homepage and click Create New Permits – Parking & Truck. If you are a new user, you can register for an account, or if you already have an account set up, you can login with your username and password.
