Truck Permits Available Online
The following Truck permits are available online through the Seattle Services Portal:
Annual Service Zone
- An annual permit valid July 1 through June 30.
- Allows trucks or commercial vehicles to provide maintenance services to a building or building equipment.
Annual Truck Permit
- An annual permit valid April 1st to March 31st and prorated quarterly.
- Allows vehicles and loads that exceed the maximum height, weight, width, and/or length specified by state law to travel on Seattle streets.
Commercial Vehicle Loading Zone (CVLZ)
- An annual permit valid for Jan 1 to Dec 31.
- Allows a commercially plated vehicle or truck to load and unload at Commercial Vehicle Load Zones, which have a 30-minute time limit.
Heavy Haul Truck Network
- An annual permit valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
- Allows vehicles to travel on Seattle’s Heavy Haul Network.
House Move
- A single-use permit.
- Required when moving an entire house from one location to another.
Restricted Area Parking (RAP)
- A 2-day permit. May include additional days.
- Required for trucks or commercial vehicles to occupy a specific Temporary No Parking Zone or other restricted parking areas for an approved period of time.
Short-Term Truck
- A single-use permit.
- Allows vehicles and loads that exceed the maximum height, weight, width, and/or length specified by state law to travel on Seattle streets.
Shuttle Bus Zone
- An annual permit valid for Jan 1 to Dec 31.
- Allows shuttle buses carrying 11 or more passengers on a fixed route to use designated Shuttle Bus Zones in the downtown core.

How to Apply Online
Step 1: Log in or Register
- Go to the Seattle Services Portal.
- Log in:
- If you already have an account, log in with your credentials.
- If you don’t have an account, register for a new account before proceeding.
Step 2: Start Your Application
- Click on the Home tab in the portal.
- Under Create New, click Permits – Parking & Truck.
- Expand the section and select the option specific to the permit you need.
- Follow the prompts in the application.
