The following Parking permits are available online through the Seattle Services Portal.

Restricted Parking Permit (RPZ):
- For businesses: This permit is for businesses located within a Southeast Link Light Rail Zones (Zones 16, 28, 29, 30, and 31). This permit allows employees and volunteers to park for longer than the restricted time period for that Zone.
- For residences: This permit allows residents of an RPZ to park for longer than the posted time limit. Each permit has a specific permit cycle.
- Car Share – Designated Parking Space: This permit is for City approved car share companies only. This allows permitted vehicles use of any paid parking space in the City.
- Car Share – Free Floating: This permit is for City approved car share companies only.
- Carpool: This quarterly permit allows carpools and vanpools to park on street in designated areas.
- Restricted Area Parking (RAP): This permit is required for trucks or commercial vehicles to occupy a specific Temporary No Parking Zone or other restricted parking areas for an approved amount of time.
- Temporary No Parking (in paid areas): This permit type is for a temporary no parking zone where there is currently paid parking.
- Temporary No Parking (in unpaid areas): This permit type is for a temporary no parking zone where there is currently un-paid parking.
To submit your application online, login to the Seattle Services Portal. Go to the homepage and click Create New Permits – Parking & Truck. If you are a new user, you can register for an account, or if you already have an account set up, you can login with your username and password.
Restricted Parking Zone Permits
To renew your Restricted Parking Zone (RPZ) permits, you will receive a renewal letter in the mail. Your renewal letter will provide details on the steps to follow for renewal.
If you need a new RPZ permit or need to make changes to existing RPZ permits before your zone renews, then:
- If you have an existing RPZ permit, please login to the Seattle Services Portal. On the My Records page, find your permit, and then click Make Changes.
- OR, if you do not have an existing permit, please visit the Seattle Services Portal homepage and click Create New Permits – Parking & Truck. If you are a new user, you can register for an account, or if you already have an account set up, you can login with your username and password.
Other Permits
To renew your Car Share or Carpool permits, you will receive an e-mail or a letter prior to your permit expiration with renewal instructions.
If you need to make changes before your renewal, please login to the Seattle Services Portal. On the My Records page, find your permit, and then click Make Changes.
