Parking Permits Available Online
The following parking permits are available through the Seattle Services Portal:
Car Share – Designated Parking Space
Available to City-approved car share companies only.
Allows permitted vehicles to use any paid parking space within the city.
Car Share – Free Floating
Available to City-approved car share companies only.
Carpool
A quarterly permit that allows carpools and vanpools to park on-street in designated areas.
Restricted Area Parking (RAP)
Required for trucks or commercial vehicles to occupy a specific temporary no parking zone or other restricted parking area for an approved period of time.
Can be applied for as a standalone permit or during a Temporary No Parking permit application.
Restricted Parking Zone (RPZ)
For businesses:
Available to businesses located within Southeast Link Light Rail Zones (zones 16, 28, 29, 30, and 31). This permit allows employees and volunteers to park longer than the posted time limit for that zone.For residences:
Allows residents within an RPZ to park longer than the posted time limit. Each permit is issued for a specific permit cycle.-

Temporary No Parking (Paid Areas)
Used to create a temporary no parking zone in areas with paid parking.

Used to create a temporary no parking zone in areas with unpaid parking.

General Infomation
Apply for a New Permit
Step 1: Log in or Register
- Go to the Seattle Services Portal.
- Log in:
- If you already have an account, log in with your credentials.
- If you don’t have an account, register for a new account before proceeding.
Step 2: Start Your Application
- Click on the Home tab in the portal.
- Under Create New, click Permits – Parking & Truck.
- Expand the section and select the option specific to the permit you need.
- Follow the prompts in the application.
Change Your Permit Prior to Renewal
Step 1: Log in or Register
- Go to the Seattle Services Portal.
- Log in:
- If you already have an account, log in with your credentials.
- If you don’t have an account, register for a new account before proceeding.
Step 2: Start Your Change Request
- In My Records, find your permit.
- Click Make Changes.
- Follow the prompts in the application.
Renew Your Permit
You will receive a renewal email or letter prior to your permit’s expiration with instructions.
