Instructions for filing a quarterly report for Network Companies
Network Company license holders are required to file quarterly reports detailing the number of online orders during the past quarter. For more information on what constituents an order, please visit seattle.gov here: Network Company FAQ
The instructions below provide a guide to filing the quarterly report using the online Seattle Services Portal.
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Log in or Register
- Log in to the Seattle Services Portal.
- If you already have an account, log in with your credentials.
- If you don’t have an account, register for a new account before proceeding & apply for a new Network Company License. For additional information on applying for a new Network Company License: [Insert Link to Help Center Article].
Step 2: Start the Quarterly Report
- Click on the My Records tab in the portal.
- Under the My Records table, navigate to your Network Company License (LIC-NC-######).
- If necessary, the record type can be filtered to limit the results to only Network Company License Records

- Select the blue Submit Report button under the action column on the Network Company License Record
- Select the radio button next to Network Company License Report
- Click Continue Application
Step 3: Review Contacts
- On the Contacts page, review the listed contacts. If any updates to the contacts are necessary, please contact our office at consumerprotection@seattle.gov.

Click Continue Application to proceed.
Step 4: Provide Quarterly Orders Information
- On the Quarterly Reporting Details page, enter the following information:
- Year: - Reporting year covered by this quarterly report.
- Quarter: - Quarter covered by this quarterly report. Do not enter the current quarter, enter the quarter covered by the report.
- Number of Online Orders: Please find additional information on what is considered an order and which types of orders are exempt here: Business Regulations - Business Regulations | seattle.gov
- Payment Type: Companies may pay either via credit card now at the time of submission or pay later by submitting a physical check through the USPS.
- Have you ceased operations, or do you anticipate ceasing operations in Seattle in the near future?: If you answered yes to this question, please enter the date you ceased operations or anticipate doing so. City staff may follow-up to complete the closure of the Network Company License.

Platforms and Mobile Apps: Review the list of platforms and mobile apps to add, remove or update any entities covered by this Network Company License.
- Click Continue Application to proceed.
Step 5: Review and Submit
- On the Review page:
- Verify that all information is correct.
- Make edits as needed by clicking Edit in the relevant sections.
- Scroll to the bottom. Agree to the certification statement by checking the box.
- Click Continue Application to submit.
Step 7: Payment
- If you selected the Pay by Check option, you will receive an email with further instructions on how to properly submit payment by check. Alternatively, you may review this help article for further information: Insert Link
- If you selected the Pay by Credit Card option, please following the payment processing prompts to enter your credit card information.
Step 6: Confirmation
- A Thank You page will display, along with your report Record Number.
- Keep this number for future reference.
- The record number will be important for future reference, especially when paying by check.
- An e-mail will also be sent as either confirmation of payment (Credit Card) or instructions on how to pay by check.
- If you wish to print a receipt for your copies, please click the print/view receipt option below the record number.
