See the How to Claim a Building article if you have not yet claimed your building.
If you need to add a new contact or remove a contact on a previously submitted Claim, you’re in the right place. You may need to add a contact to an already claimed building if you forgot to add the Tune-Up Specialist you hired to conduct your building’s Tune-Up, for example. Since the Tune-Up Specialist will submit the Tune-Up, they must be listed as a contact on the Claim. Likewise, there may be a case where a building’s property manager changes, and the previous property manager should no longer have access. This contact should be removed.
To update the associated contacts on a Claim,
- Log into the Seattle Services Portal and click the “My Records” tab in the menu bar at the top of the page to see all of your records.
- Find the Claim record for the building where you must add, remove, or edit a contact. It will start with “BTU-CLM…” Tip: You might want to search for the record number in the "Keyword" field or perhaps filter the "Action" drop-down for "Make Changes." Once you've located the correct record, under the Action column, click the “Make Changes” link.
- This will take you to the Associated Contacts page, where you’ll see a list of the contacts initially added to the Claim through the Claim a Building process.
- To add another contact, click the Someone Else button to search for them by email address (recommended) or name. If the person or organization isn’t found, select the link “Person or organization not listed? Add them here.” Please note, that contacts created via this link will not have access to the Seattle Services Portal.
- To remove a contact, click the “Delete” link next to the contact you’d like to remove. Next, click the OK button to confirm the deletion.
- Once all updates have been completed, click the Continue button to proceed.
- On the Review page, please review all the information you input. Once you've verified everything is correct, click the Continue button to submit the updated contact information.
