How to Check Curb Space Availability or Search for Temporary No Parking Reservations Using a Map

Temporary No Parking permits are available for both paid and unpaid curb spaces in Seattle. The map updates nightly, so it takes a day for permits to appear. This guide explains how to check for reservations for paid and unpaid curb spaces near a specific location or using a specific record number. 

How to Check Curb Space Availability for Temporary No Parking (Paid Areas) Using an Address

Step 1: Access the Map

  1. Go to the Curb Spaces and Temporary No Parking map.

Step 2: Search for the Street Address

  1. Click the Temporary No Parking (Paid Areas) tab.

    The Curb Space and Temporary No Parking Map displays fully opened. On the left side is the legend and on the right side is a search field. The banner at the top displays all the tabs. Second tab from left on the banner is the Temporary No Parking (Paid Areas) tab. That tab is highlighted.

  2. Use the pull-down menu to check All or Addresses (Seattle) to find an area by address.

    The Curb Space Map is open to the Temporary No Parking (Paid Areas) tab. The screenshot is cropped to the right upper half of the map. On the right side of the map, there is a search bar that has a dropdown arrow next to it. The dropdown has been activated and shows the full list of options. All the options show as selected. Both the All and Addresses checkboxes are highlighted.

  3. Enter the street address in the search field and select it. 

    Tip: The search is limited to six results.

    Note: Since this is a global map, you may need to include "Seattle" if you search under Addresses (Seattle).

    The Curb Space Map is open to the Temporary No Parking (Paid Areas) tab. The screenshot is cropped to the right upper half of the map. On the right side of the map, there is a search bar that has a partial street address in it of 700 5th. Below the field is a list of six addresses that match what was entered. The search field and the desired matching address are highlighted.

  4. Click the address in the search results. The map zooms to the selected address, and a pin displays there. 

    Tip: This map displays approved Temporary No Parking permits that, based on the current date, are between 15 days before posting (upcoming) and 15 days after removal (recently removed).

    Note: Not all curb spaces are reservable. See the Curb Spaces tab of the map for more information.

    • If no colored lines are near the pin, there are no current reservations for that location.

    • If colored lines are near the pin, reservations exist in that area.

    The Curb Space Map is open to the Temporary No Parking (Paid Areas) tab. The screenshot is cropped to the right upper half of the map. On the right side of the map, the search field has an address of 209 Yesler Way, Seattle, WA 98104. The results field has highlighting around the same address indicating that it was clicked. The map has a pin marking the address. There are colored lines next to that address indicating that there are reservations at that location.

Step 3: View a Reservation

  1. Click a colored line near the pin to see details about the reservation.

    Note: The current tab only shows paid curb spaces. For unpaid curb spaces, switch to the Temporary No Parking (Unpaid Areas) tab.

  2. The line appears light blue, and reservation details display. Review the reservation dates to check availability.

    The Curb Space Map is open to the Temporary No Parking (Paid Areas) tab. The screenshot is cropped to the upper center half of the map. The popup shows information about the permit including the permit number, name and phone number of the contact, and the curbspace number. The install and removal dates are highlighted. The Install Date is 2025-04-22 and the Removal Date is 2025-04-24.

    Tip: If there are multiple reservations, use the arrows on the left side of the popup to cycle through them.

How to Check Curb Space Availability for Temporary No Parking (Unpaid Areas) Using a Confirmation Number

The confirmation number printed on the Public Notice matches the permit's record number.

Step 1: Access the Map

  1. Go to the Curb Spaces and Temporary No Parking map.

Step 2: Search for the Confirmation Number

  1. Click the Temporary No Parking (Unpaid Areas) tab.

    The Curb Space and Temporary No Parking Map displays fully opened. On the left side is the legend and on the right side is a search field. The banner at the top displays all the tabs. Third tab from left on the banner is the Temporary No Parking (Unpaid Areas) tab. That tab is highlighted.

  2. Enter the last five digits of the confirmation number into the search field. For example, if the number is SDOT-TNPN-00-00000, you only need to enter 00000.

  3. Click the Search icon.

    Tip: The search is limited to six results.

The last five numbers of a Temporary No Parking (Unpaid Areas) permit have been entered into the search field. The permit number is 00000. The search icon is to the right of that field and has highlighting around it.

  4. Select the confirmation number from the results. The map zooms to that location, and a No Parking sign appears.

Step 3: View a Reservation

  1. Click the No Parking sign to see more details.

  2. Reservation details appear. Review the dates for availability.

    The Curb Space Map is open to the Temporary No Parking (Unpaid Areas) tab. The screenshot is cropped to the center of the page. In the middle of the map, a No Parking sign has blue highlighting around it to indicate it matches the selected permit number. The No Parking sign has been clicked. A popup displays with the reservation details. The permit number is at the top of the popup with reservation information below that. Information includes when the public notice was installed, the start and end date of the reservation, the time of day of the reservation, if the reservation is for no parking 24 hours a day, and if the no parking includes Saturday. The Start Date, End Date, and Start and End Time fields are highlighted. The Start Date is 2025-05-21. The End Date is 2025-06-05. The Start and End Time is 7 AM to 5 PM. The 24 Hour No Park is set to No. Include Saturday is set to No.

How to Check Curb Space Availability for Temporary No Parking (Unpaid Areas) Using an Address

Step 1: Access the Map

  4. Click the address in the search results. The map zooms to the address, and a pin appears there.

The search results field is highlighted indicating that it was clicked. The map has zoomed to that address location with a pin marking the address. There is one No Parking symbol indicating that there is a reservation at that address.

  5. Look for the No Parking symbols nearby for reservations. You can zoom out by clicking the “-“ symbol or zoom in by clicking the “+” symbol.

    The Curb Space Map is open to the Temporary No Parking (Unpaid Areas) tab. On the bottom right side of the page, the zoom in and zoom out buttons are highlighted.

Step 3: View a Reservation

  1. Click the No Parking symbol for reservation details.

    Note: This tab only shows unpaid curb spaces. To see paid curb spaces, switch to the Temporary No Parking (Paid Areas) tab.

  2. Reservation details display. Review the dates for availability.

    The Curb Space Map is open to the Temporary No Parking (Unpaid Areas) tab. The address with the No Parking sign is highlighted. A popup with reservation details related to that reservation displays. The popup shows information about the reservation including the permit number, Install Date-Time of 2025-04-25 3 PM, a Start Date of 2025-04-28, an End Date of 2025-04-28, a Start and End Time of 7 AM to 6 PM, and with 24 Hour No Park set to No. The reservation start and end date and times are highlighted.
