If you have active Street Use permits that were converted to the new system on November 9, 2020, this article explains how to find your converted permit.
Your converted permits use the same number as in the old system, with a few differences.
A prefix starts the permit number to identify the type of application. The prefix is followed by an X to indicate a converted permit. The X is followed by your old permit number. So, if your Minor Utility permit number in the old system is 12345, your permit number in the new system is SUUTILX12345.
For example:
SUUTILX12345 - Minor Utility
SUCONSTX12345 - Construction Use
SUUMPX12345 - Utility Major Permit
SUSIPX12345 - Street Improvement Permit
Follow these steps to complete a search:
- Go to the Seattle Services Portal homepage. Under Find Existing, click Choose a category > Permits – Street Use.
- In Record Number, enter %X followed by your old permit number.
TIP: % acts like a wild card and X indicates a converted permit.
- Click Search.
- Click on the Record Number to see the details.
