You can view all pending, scheduled, and completed inspections through the Seattle Services Portal.
Many inspections are automatically scheduled and are not requested, such as Interim, Final or Acceptance inspections. An Initial inspection is automatically scheduled but the scheduled date is updated when a Job Start Notification is submitted.
Some inspections are not scheduled automatically and are available for request once the Initial Inspection for your permit is completed. These inspections are available for request for Construction, Heavy Crane, Maintenance, Minor Utility, Street Improvement, and Utility Major permits. Use the following to help you decide what type of inspection to request. Not all inspection types are available, it depends on your permit.
- Curb Ramp Inspection – to confirm new curb ramps meet ADA requirements.
- Mark Out Inspection – to establish layout of restoration dimensions.
- Restoration Inspection – to ensure restoration complies with City standards and codes.
- Site Inspection – to request an inspection prior to your next scheduled inspection.
Except for Mark Out, each of these inspections can be requested more than once on a permit. Please refer to the Street Use Inspections web page for more details.
