- Log in to your Seattle Services Portal account.
- On the Home page under Create New, click Rental Housing Registration (RRIO).
- On the next screen, click Transfer Existing Registration to New Owners.

Enter the Rental Property Registration Record Number and click Continue.
Tip: To obtain the record number, search the property address on Shaping Seattle or contact the RRIO Team at 206-684-4110 or RRIO@seattle.gov.
- Update the property contact information by using the Add Myself and Add Someone Else buttons.
- Add yourself first using the Add Myself option.
- Use the Add Someone Else option to find existing contacts already in the system.
- If your contact is not in the system, click Person or organization not found? Add them here.

Indicate the type of contact (Owner, Applicant, and Tenant Contact for Repairs)
Tip: The Tenant Contact for Repairs is the person that tenants should contact if they need a repair in their unit. Do not list your tenant’s information.
- Continue adding contacts until you have all three required contacts. You may enter additional contacts in addition to the three required.
- Click Continue.
- Review the submitted information. Click Edit to make changes if necessary. Click Continue to submit.

A thank you message will appear confirming the transfer was completed.
Tip: If the Rental Registration is expired, follow the instructions to Renew a Rental Property Registration to make the registration active again.
