How Do I Extend My Temporary No Parking (Paid Area) Permit?

Temporary No Parking Zone permits can be extended when the approved end date is more than two days in the future. For example, if the end date is April 26, an extension can be filed any time prior to or on April 24. Time can be extended but it cannot be reduced.

This article describes how to apply for a Temporary No Parking (Paid Area) permit extension.

1. Login to Seattle Services Portal.

   IMPORTANT: If you do not yet have a Seattle Services Portal account, you must register before proceeding.

2. On the My Records page, locate your Temporary No Parking Zone (Paid Area) – License record in the list.
3. In the Action column associated with your license, click Make Changes.

   Note: Make Changes only displays when there are more than two days left on the permit.

   
4. Check the checkbox next to the row you wish to extend.
5. Click Edit Selected.
   
   
6. Enter the Requested Extension End Date.
7. Select the Requested Extension End Time from the dropdown.
8. Click Submit.
   
9. Click Continue Application.
   
   
10. Review changes. Click Edit to make any needed change.
11. Click Continue Application.
    
12. A Thank You page displays with the Record Number of your Temporary No Parking extension. Your extension request has been submitted for review. You will be contacted for any additional information and documents that are needed prior to approval of your extension. Once your extension is approved, you will receive an email notifying you of fees due. Follow the instructions in the email to pay the fees.
