How to Submit a Construction (-CN) Application for Screening

If you need submit a construction application for screening or resubmit an application that was previously rejected by us during the screening process, follow these steps. This screening option is only for construction (records ending in -CN) applications.

Start Your Screening Submission

1. Login to your Seattle Services Portal account or create one if necessary
2. Click My Records
   
   
3. Find the Record Number that you want to submit for screening and click the Make Changes button
   

   Note: Use the filters to refine your search and narrow your results. If necessary, use the next page or page number tool at the bottom of the page to locate your record.

4. Select Construction Application Intake by clicking the radio button
   
5. Add yourself as the applicant by clicking Select From Account 
6. Add Financially Responsible Party by clicking Select From Account, Add New, or Look Up
   
   
7. Click Continue Application
8. Enter Additional value from alterations: (enter 0 if no change in value is proposed)
9. Choose the Yes radio button for I need application screening
   
   
10. Enter the required Detail Information and update the Project information by clicking appropriate radio buttons for each question
11. Click Continue Application
12. Complete any Building Use & Occupancy information, if needed
13. Click Continue Application once you have entered all the required data
14. Add attachments by clicking the Select button
15. Click Select to browse for files to upload
16. Select the document from your files and click Open (file name will be listed after it is selected)
17. Click Done
    
    
18. Repeat steps 14-17 for each required document needed

Name Your Required Documents

1. Select the Type from the list of Types in the drop-down
2. Add a Description of the document
   
3. Repeat this step for each required document
4. Once you have named each document, click Save
5. Once you have uploaded each required type of document, click Continue Application 

 Complete Your Screening Submission

1. Verify all your information looks correct in the Review step and click Continue Application
2. When your screening application is successful, you'll see the Thank You screen
3. Wait for SDCI to contact you (usually by email) to let you know if more information is needed or if the fees are ready to be paid
